This 90-minute session focuses on the use of visualization and imagery to invite feelings of calm and stability into the body. We will begin with a brief learning and journaling practice centered on disentangling external stressors from thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the body. We will then engage in a mountain meditation practice to deepen this new learning so you can take the feelings of calm and stability into the rest of your week.
What you will need:
A notebook, journal, or paper and pen for writing (journals are available for purchase at the studio).
Wear clothing that allows you to feel comfortable while moving, stretching, sitting and lying down.
Your own reusable water bottle (recommended).
Good to know:
This retreat session is offered in-person ONLY at the Untold Stories Studio in Pinawa, Manitoba.
No meditation skills or experience is required; however, we recommend that you consult your medical advisors before undertaking this movement and meditation session.
This session may involve sitting or lying on the floor or in a chair for a prolonged period of time. You should be able to get into and out of a seated or lying position without assistance.
