What is The Journey Program?

The Journey Program is a 12-month learning, practice, and community building experience that is designed around your self-help, mental health, and well-being goals.

The Journey is my signature community offering. It’s a community quest for better states of mental health and well-being, and it starts with these questions:

What kind mental health and well-being skills would you like to cultivate? How would you like to see yourself in one year?

  • Would you like to learn to better regulate your response to stress?
  • Would you like to feel less lonely and isolated?
  • Would you like to cultivate more self awareness?
  • Would you like to improve your interpersonal communication skills?
  • Would you like to improve your ability to focus?
  • Would you like to navigate life more confidently?
  • How about increasing your sense of calm and inner peace?
  • Or building a repertoire of useful self-care practices that you can turn to whenever stressors arise?

I designed The Journey Program to be a small group learning and practice experience that can help you set and reach these and other self-care and work recovery goals.

This program brings the best elements of our workshops and studio community practices together, while providing personalized support aimed at helping you learn, practice, and put into action the skills and mindsets that can help you achieve your self-care, mental health, and well-being goals.

The Journey Program begins with the setting of your growth goals for the program year. I will help you to organize your needs and wants as specific goals that we will work together as a community to support.

Once your goals are determined, you will begin the learning and practice plan. Your journey is arranged as a 12-month community experience that’s designed to gently take you from where you are now to where you desire to be. We get there through a series of mini-workshops and community sessions that attend to different aspects of mental health, personal storytelling, and conflict transformation practices.

As a Journey Program participant, you will have access to:

  1. A unique program structure that allows you to set your own mental health, conflict transformation, storytelling, or self-care goals.
  2. A diverse workshop format that provides interactive, small group experiential learning and ongoing practice around topics related to mental health awareness, mindfulness, conflict transformation, lived experience storytelling, and self-care.
  3. Monthly sharing circles to learn about different experiences, set intentions, share challenges, and celebrate wins.
  4. Goal check-in and feedback meetings.
  5. 12-months of studio community membership, which allows you to explore other valuable community sessions and resources.
  6. The option to attend The Journey Program workshops at different times, depending on your schedule.

The Journey Program works within the community and small group co-learning, listening, and practice focus that the Untold Stories Studio is known for. We host three intake each calendar year and each intake is capped 12 participants. This small group approach means that everyone will feel seen and heard and it allows for greater diversity in experiences and perspectives, while allowing us to deepen our sense of community support.

The Journey Program Cost and Payment Options:

Is The Journey Program right for me?

I fully recognize that this approach to mental health and well-being support is not for everyone. To some, the idea of committing to a year long self-help or self-improvement program sounds like a challenging task. You may be worried that you will get bored or fall behind when other things come onto your plate. Maybe you are worried that you might not like the workshop experience or that the program might ask you to take a look at long buried and repressed feelings that you are not ready to face.

Those worries may be valid, but they are not truths until you prove them. To do that, you have to take a first step. It might be helpful to know that these kinds of worries are the things this program has been designed to address. If you are concerned about the time for attending live-online workshop meetings, know that each intake has access to at least two meeting time slots. If you happen to miss your regular meeting time, you could attend the other. I invite you to contact me to learn more about the program and if it would be a good fit for you.

You might also be worried about the cost. I understand that taking steps towards improving our mental health and well-being by cultivating resilience and prioritizing our own self-care as a path to mental health care is not easy. And it is even more challenging to take that step when there is a price tag attached. So, let’s put this into perspective. The Journey Program works out to an investment of less than $1.50 a day. What is your mental and emotional health worth? Can you quantify it? Can you put a dollar value on how much better you are likely to feel when you spend time connecting with your own mental health and well-being needs within a community of care?

My goal is to help people find pathways to sustainable mental and emotional health through co-learning, community support, and well-researched mindfulness and storytelling practices. It's important to me to do it in a way that is as accessible as possible. The Journey Program comes with two payment options. You can choose to pay in one go, or break the payments into four equal installments paid over the first four months of your program.

Are you still on the fence? Contact me and let’s have a chat to see if the The Journey Program is a good fit for you.

Our next intake starts soon. I look forward to seeing you in the studio.
