About this program

This half-day retreat uses hands-on teaching and learning of mindfulness, journaling, art therapy, and narrative practices to improve your mental wellness and well-being. Each retreat follows a different theme to help you connect with one or more of the seven types of rest every person needs.  

What's included: Each retreat includes instruction and practice in mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, writing and reflection, optional sharing circles, coffee or tea, and a healthful lunch.

Also included: One online pre-event meet and greet and orientation session. Your retreat fee includes free access to our monthly Guided Meditation sessions and online Guided Meditation library.

Attendance Options

This retreat session is in-person at our studio, S27-24 Aberdeen Avenue, Pinawa, MB, R0E1L0. The retreat activities may include walking along trails in Pinawa.

Participants are invited to take part in our complimentary online orientation for retreat-goers. You will receive information about the online orientation when you register.

Additional Information

Experience: No meditation, art, or writing experience is required. We provide an online orientation and optional beginner practices to help you prepare for the in-person day with us.

Risks: This retreat may involve sitting or lying on the floor or in a chair for some time. You should be able to get into and out of a seated or lying position without assistance. 

What to bring/have:

  • A notebook or journal and pen for writing (we sell journals at the studio).
  • Wear clothing that makes you feel comfortable when moving, sitting, stretching, and lying down.
  • A small blanket or towel (optional).
  • Suitable outdoor clothing and shoes.
